This blog is all about the travels that I did recently, I was not a travel-holic as most peoples say when writing a blog on travels. But my wife was indeed. She loves travelling. So i do. I like to visit places, but the travel part like packing bags, arranging things like visa, tickets, hotel reservations blah blah… is the worst part of travelling. many times i feel that if these stuffs can be arranged by a third party, travel would be more enjoyable. But alas, I am an Indian and we always think of where we can save money!!!. So this is a necessary evil if we want to travel. So here we go
Saudi Arabia
My first International trip was to the land of crude and gold. As most of the guys, I was a little tensed while travelling to Saudi. Reasons were many and I think there is no need to explain. But once I came here it was a way better than what i expected. Especially as I was a foodie, I loved the cuisine here. Arab food is one of the best in the world. Al Baik the Saudi master class chicken broast is something all foodies need to try. It is a class among itself. After joining the project of prestigious Saudi Aramco, I was deputed to Singapore for training purpose which was my second overseas experience… So here I go
Singapore
One of the best places that I have travelled to. Its all about entertainment, entertainment and entertainment . And the location our stay was arranged was outstanding. Pan Pacific, how much I miss the place. At the heart of Singapore, on 18th floor I stayed on a posh Suite, like a king. 100 days I stayed there. The first thing that comes to my mind when i think about Singapore is the neatness of the place. The Government has put extra efforts to make people aware about the requirement of keeping the country clean. No where we can find a piece of garbage unlikely in any other places that i visited. The best places to visit here is Marina bay sands, Jurong park and the Giant wheel
UAE
After coming back to Saudi we decided that we have to visit atleast one foriegn country every year. So the first place that came to our mind was UAE. Dubai, Sharjah and Abudhabi were our primary plans to visit out of 7 emirates. ‘Burj Khaleefa’ is a modern day wonder. We went to ‘At the top Sky’ the highest observatory desk in the whole world. It is something to be experienced and not to be explained. Also the Aquarium the largest glass panel was a different experience. It was from there I ate octopus meat for the first time. Then we travelled to Abudhabi to visit the famous Sheikh Zayed grand Mosque. One would marvel at the architectural brilliance of the site. The best part of UAE is the friendly people, and Great urge of the government to attract tourists
Australia
Australia was our dream come true travel. 14 hour flight journey.. Phew.I never expected in my life to sit idle for 14 hours. But once we reached there , we understood Australia is not a hi fi country what we expected. Its hi fi also and has small villages and downtowns which is more beautiful than the outer shell part which they project to tourists. If some one want to understand the beauty of Aussie, road travel is the best. I saw many good best practices in Aussie. Like fatigue cameras, no manning at gasoline stations etc.. Australia is considered one of the best place to live only because of the beautiful people who live there. So gentle and kind. I loved the place and would have definitely visited again hadn’t it had such a long flight journey…
Egypt
The land of tombs and pyramids!!! I would rate this place the last in my list of places that i visited. Although the pyramids and Sphinx and all those were a class that is unexplainable, the attitude of the people of there was a complete disaster. people love to help there but with money in return only. Not once, we had many such occasions like that. If anyone planning to visit Egypt, make sure to do it with a travel agent only, so as not to lose money…
